We need all the support we can muster to enable us to care for the constant stream of unwanted Dobermanns. There are several ways you can help these needy dogs – please see below, and also view the other pages in this very important section of our website:
You can make a Difference for a Dobermann!
We are dedicated to the welfare of Dobermanns, concentrating resources in Northern England and Scotland – where there is little or no other provision for the breed at present. For each dog rescued, we re-home whenever an appropriate home becomes available. As a small organisation, we make the best use of our limited funding by restricting our geographical area – Friends of Northern Dobermanns Limited, or for ease ‘FOND’, is a non-profit making limited company run and supported entirely by unpaid volunteers.
Ways To Help (i): Make a Donation
Donations, however small, are always very welcome. These can be made by clicking on the Paypal ‘Donate’ button above. Alternatively, please donate by sending a cheque made payable to Friends of Northern Dobermanns Limited to Mrs Louise Greig, 7 Ashfield Road, Cults, Aberdeen, AB15 9NQ.
Ways To Help (ii): Adoption
If you think you could offer one of our dogs a permanent caring home home please look at our – Adoption & Rehoming – page today.
Ways To Help (iii): Kennel Sponsorship
This is a major expense for us – often, we have to maintain dogs awaiting re-homing in kennels. You can help with the costs by becoming a kennel sponsor. Please find out more on our – Kennel Sponsorship – page.
Ways To Help (iv): Become a FOND Friend
All Friendship Subscriptions are used solely for the welfare of our rescued dogs. We regularly keep Friends informed about how these funds are being used. We send Friends a newsletter by e-mail containing profiles of some the dogs we have helped and how they are faring. To join us – please complete this form – (note that this link is a Microsoft Word Document **) and return it by post (address on the form).
Ways To Help (v): Give Some Time as a Volunteer
We are always looking to extend our network of volunteers – help is always welcome. You obviously need to be experienced with the breed, example tasks include the following:
- Transporting Dogs
- Carrying Out Home Checks
- Fostering Dogs
- Fund Raising
If you can help in any of these areas – please download a form here – (note that this link is a Microsoft Word Document **) and return it by post or email to:
Remembering Rusty… you can make a Difference for a Dobermann in Need.
A lovely dog who died far too young… as a result of the conditions Myasthenia Gravis and Megaesophagus.
Thank you to all those who enquired to offer him a home and to those who support us – without your caring we would not have been able to ensure this dog did not end his days without pain or fear.
